South Africa’s 21 October budget statement allocated R150 million to enhance the technical capabilities of the digital-services unit developing MyMzansi. The planned platform is intended to make government services available through a single digital channel, while the statement also referred to strengthening the South African Revenue Service’s ICT systems and cyber resilience. Software vendors, systems integrators and cybersecurity providers can explore opportunities in platform development, service integration and secure digital infrastructure. HPC can support technology planning, data operations and digital-performance analytics; the R150 million is a budget allocation, not a confirmed HPC or supplier contract.
