On 21 October, the government announced R150 million to strengthen the digital-services unit leading development of MyMzansi, a planned single platform for accessing government services. The initiative forms part of the government’s digital public-infrastructure agenda and may create demand for technology, integration and service-design capabilities.
Startups, software companies and technology partners can explore opportunities in digital identity, civic technology and platform integration. HPC can support digital strategy, data architecture and analytics; R150 million is the announced allocation for the initiative, not startup funding or an open contract award.
